Clear Scraps

I was given a GREAT gift this last week from two very wonderful friends of mine Betty Weaver and Rita Brinkley.  They were so kind as to take me to The Great American Scrapbook Convention in TX.  We all had a ball and well we all spent way to much money but that's ok.  Being with friends and enjoying a few days away was well worth every penny.  While there I was able to take a few classes they were both from the same company Clear Scraps.  Mind you I have never work with acrylic before.  I am always full of questions and this was one I had.  "Can you  use the heat tool on the Acrylic"?  Well I came home and tried it and kinda like the results that I got.  Now I know this is not perfect but I will keep working on it until I find the right way that will work for me.  I just hope you all try new things and never stop asking why or why not.  You never know what you may learn.

I held the heat tool on the 1 for way to long but in general I kept each one for a count of 30.

I used my I Rock tool  to set the bling on here.  To make the name and all pop I used Adirondack Alcohol ink Mixatives Silver.  Thin I dabbed some on the back and coated the back with Krylon Red Shimmer Leafing.

Thank you for letting me share.

Take Two

Last week I done a cute little box out of Kaisercraft paper.  This week I done the same box but with Graphic 45 paper and a Tim Holtz Die.  I love the look of the Bag, Caddy by sizzix and they seem to be showing it alot in the last few weeks.

As you can see I use the folding box bottom and for the back I used a Tim Holtz Edge die.  On the top I put some Metallic Rub-Ons by Craf-T Products.

I cut my paper to fit the top and back of the box and done a light sanding on it.

There are two sides to the caddy.  The stickers are from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  They are new to me and I am still learning how to make them.

I do hope you enjoyed this remake of last weeks.  I did not cut the back from the Sizzix only the bottom part.  I used a ruler and found the measurement for the back and cut my chip board that wide and then cut it with the edge die.  By doing this you can make the center piece as tall as you want.

Thanks for stopping in.

KaiserCraft and Sizzix

Here is a really cute ideal I have resently seen on the Sizzix blog.  Hope you enjoy.

Kaisercraft paper P805/Flamingo, Kaisercraft Collectables Tigerlilly, Martha Stewart ribbon,  Cosmo Cricket washi tape.  Tim Holtz Ripe Persimmon Ink, and lets not for get the Eileen Hull Sizzix  Die Bag Caddy #657123

This was really fun to make and is a lot smaller then you think.  It is 5 inches high 3 1/2  inches across the front and 2 1/4 across the side.  The center hole was in the die and I dug through my stash and found that some Making Memories brads I had fit perfect.  I love using things from my stash piles.  That is also where the ribbon came from.

Here is a side view.

I plan on using this little box to add pens and things to on my desk.  To make it I just Cut the Die two times, then cut the die again twice with paper.  I will tell you that if you want your butter flies to all face up you have to cut your paper as the two tops on this die are facing in the opposite directions.  You also what to cut your paper on the score line as it will not fold with the chip board.  Bet you can't guess how I know that lol.  I found it easier to glue my paper onto all my chip board then glue it all together.  You do not have to use both back pieces as I did but I  wanted to use the brands and thought it looked nicer.  I would also like to say that if you are using fancy chipboard please remember that the side you want out is the side touching the die. I remember this as if they are kissing.

Well thank you for stopping in and hope you enjoy.  I am hopping to get a picture of our small group making these this week it is always nice to see someone else's take on something.

Kaisercraft

Hello again. hope you all had a great weekend.  I spent my Saturday at my local Scrapbook store cropping and chatting with some great friends.  In the process  I thought something I had made a few weeks ago needed some extra touches and so here they are.  This is a set of MDF Kaisercraft Butterflies I have made.  They are just fun to do and I had so many ideals going I thought why not do both sides and hang them as a group in a window.

This was the first side I done.

I really love the look of the flowers from this set of Kaisercraft extras.

The floppy Butterfly here was cut with a Sixxiz die.

And here is the back side of them.

I heat set every stone as I truly like them better then the sticky ones.

I didn't add much to this one because the paper was just so beautiful.

The only add item here was the blue bird sticker also from Kaisercraft, and a little green ink.

I have found that sometimes the papers are more then enough to make an item special, and you don't need to add alot of other stuff.
Well thank you for stopping by and let me know what you think.

Tim Holtz and Sizzix Edge Dies

This is a really quick and easy book I made as a demo for my Local Scrap Book Store.  I also done a larger one to teach in a class.  I used a medium weight chip board and painted it with H2O's.   I love the way they shine.

Sorry these looked so much better on the camera.
I used 3 of the dies and I cut the boards after I got the edges done.  I did this so I could match them up the way I wanted them to look.

Here is a closer look at the front.  You can see how I layered them.

Sorry I only managed to get one of the inside pages.

I hope to get some better pics of these next time I am at the store.  All the paper was by Tim Holtz as well as on the front were his Fragment pieces.  All the paint was H2O's and I always use 3 in 1 glue or glossy accents.  I think every one has their own favorite glue let me know what yours is.

Thanks for viewing

Kaisercraft Projects

I would like to share some of the Kaiser papers I have been working on.  Hope you enjoy them.

This is a set of three butterflies that Kaiser craft sells.  I like the fact you can do them up any way you want and make them match your own style.

This is a piece of film strip from Tim Holtz.

I cut the birds out of another piece of Kaiser paper.

The word is from kaiser as well as the leaves.

All three of them.

The card is cut from a Sixxiz Flip it.  I just got this and Love it.

The inside.

I wanted to show how the flower was popped up as well as the butterflies.

Every thing on the two page layout is from Kaisercrafts.  I hand cut and popped up the angels.

This was also hand cut from a 12x12 sheet.

I know they are a little plain but I am working on not over doing them.

The angel has a gold color to him. Wish it showed up better in the picture.

Well I hope you enjoy.  Thank you for stopping by.

Easter

Sorry it has taken me some time to get this new post up.  I have been very busy with the grand kids and what a better way to show it.  Here are my girls in the dresses I made them for Easter this year.

My Daughter Robin with her husband Michael and the girl Aloura and MyLee the baby.

Aloura told me this was her princess dress.

She had to have a purple bucket to hunt eggs in she said she had to match so Yes we had a purple pumpkin for her to use.  Her Grandpa said she could do what ever she wanted and well she did.
This was baby MyLees first Easter and we sure had fun with her.

I hope to have a few things posted on here in the next week.  Thank you for stoping by.
